Calleri played very well today but doesn't look like a striker. Made great runs and used his strength well, just couldn't finish.

There was one instance where there was a simply ball on to play Cresswell in into acres of space & unmarked. He missed it & passed the ball about 30 yards backwards

I think there were a lot of positives from todays bore draw

Reid was MOtM for me. A superb performance & surely it's time he was made captain

Fonte & Collins were solid again

Nordtveit followed last weeks good performance with another one. He should be starting in his natural position till the end of the season. Our midfield looks a lot more solid with him in there

Masuaka seems to be getting better with every game, shame he had to go off

Kouyate had his best game for a while & his positive runs forward were always a threat today

Lanzini is always a star turn

Fernandes was ok, played out of position

Adrian had relatively little to do, but was steady when called upon. He's our best goalie by a mile

Another welcome clean sheet

The negatives:-

Ayew & Calleri are probably the most toothless strike force in the division

Calleri held the ball up well & worked hard to his credit but just doesn't seem to have the knack of scoring goals in the prem. Looks like he's never going to settle in this league, though unlike most on here, I believe he has talent

Ayew doesn't seem to fit in. I reckon he was bought to accompany Payet. Enough said!

We were much weaker when Cresswell came on for Masuaka. He looks fragile. Nothing like the player he was before his bad injury pre-season

They had an interview with Arthur on Soccer Saturday on Sky today.
Speaks very good English and says he still cant explain his handball v West Brom.

After a fairly shaky start I've been impressed with Fonte of late. No doubt helped by Ginge being in great form, still doing well though.

Remind me to look at this when Fonte comes up against someone with real pace.

We have recently played well defensively with 3 out of four clean sheets. It would have been 4 out of 4 but for Randolph's fuck ups. This tightening up of our defence should have been done months ago. With so many out injured is this cause for some optimism.
